WdBasic

Terms of service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms apply when a business uses WdBasic. They are a contract between your business and WdBasic Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 09989068), registered office 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA (“WdBasic”, “we”). WdBasic is a service for businesses, not for consumers.

1. What we do

We connect to your WordPress website, analyse it and propose changes intended to improve how it appears in search engines: for example page titles, descriptions, frequently asked questions, page text and new articles. The free audit includes the analysis only. The Growth plan adds regular proposals, publishing the changes you approve, and a weekly report.

2. Your approval

  1. We only publish a change on your website after you approve it in your WdBasic account or by email.
  2. You are responsible for checking that what you approve is accurate for your business, including prices, services, qualifications and any regulated information.
  3. You can undo any change we published from your account, and we will help you reverse it if the automatic undo isn’t possible.

3. Your responsibilities

  1. You confirm you are authorised to connect the website and to let us change its content.
  2. You keep your own backups of your website. We take care when making changes but we are not a backup or hosting service.
  3. You can revoke our access at any time by deleting the WdBasic application password in WordPress.

4. Fees and payment

  1. The Growth plan is billed monthly in advance, in pounds sterling, plus VAT, through our payment provider Stripe.
  2. Founding client prices apply for the period stated when you subscribe and then move to the standard price shown on our website.
  3. We may change the standard price with at least 30 days’ notice by email. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

5. Cancellation

There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time from your account (Manage billing). Your plan stays active until the end of the month you have paid for and is not refunded for part months. Everything we published on your website stays there.

6. No guaranteed results

Search engines decide rankings and change how they work without notice. We don’t promise any particular position, traffic or number of enquiries. We report honestly on what we changed and what happened afterwards.

7. Ownership

Your website and its content remain yours. Text we write for you and that you approve becomes yours once published, and you can use it as you wish. We keep the right to our software, methods and reports templates.

8. Data protection

How we handle personal data about you is explained in our privacy notice. To the extent we process personal data contained in your website on your behalf, we do so only to provide the service, under your instructions and with appropriate security, as a processor under UK GDPR.

9. Liability

  1. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
  2. We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect losses.
  3. Otherwise, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Ending the service

We may suspend or end the service if you don’t pay, if you use it unlawfully, or with 30 days’ notice for any other reason, in which case we refund any fees paid for the period after it ends.

11. General

These terms are the whole agreement between us about the service. We may update them; we will email you about material changes at least 30 days in advance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: hello@wdbasic.com.
